STLP (Student Technology Leadership Program):

STLP (Student Technology Leadership Program): Sponsored by the Kentucky Department of Education, STLP empowers students to use technology to solve school and community problems. Members gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies—including drones, robotics, 3D printing, computer programming, aviation, and digital art. Students design creative projects and present their technical skills, teamwork, and leadership at regional, district, and state competitions, including the STLP State Championship at Rupp Arena in Lexington.

STLP- Amy Thomison

Amy Thomison: A National Board Certified Teacher with over 20 years of experience in secondary education, Mrs. Thomison serves as the Library Media Specialist at Hopkins County Central High School. She holds master’s degrees in Reading & Writing and Library Media, serves as the Gifted & Talented Program Building Coordinator, launched the Teaching and Learning Pathway (including dual credit options), and founded HCCHS's Educators Rising chapter. She co-coaches the STLP and Girls Who Code clubs

STLP- Casey Cotton

Casey Cotton: An active Social Studies teacher at Hopkins County Central High School, Mr. Cotton co-coaches the STLP and Girls Who Code clubs, providing hands-on instruction and guidance to help students excel in STEM, robotics, digital creation, and competitive technology projects.
